The Forestry Commission are in the progress of making improvements to the toilet block at Birchden Woods. The full story and more information can be found here if you want to learn more on what is being done.The planned work had been scheduled for 16th - 29th March but unfortunately the work will over-run.
The Forestry Commission have released this statement:
"Unexpected delays to the work being carried out at Birchden Wood mean that the toilet block will not be opening over the Easter break and the campsite will not be able to open. Visitors are still welcome to Birchden Wood but will need to observe warning signage were work is being carried on parts of the car park.
Obviously we are very disappointed and apologise for any inconvenience this has caused.
